Army ROTC – Jayhawk Battalion
KU Army ROTC prepares students to become commissioned officers in the U.S. Army through military science coursework, leadership training, and hands-on field experiences. The program offers scholarship opportunities, professional development, and pathways to service in the Active Army, Army Reserve, and Army National Guard.
Naval ROTC – Jayhawk Battalion
KU Naval ROTC develops future officers for the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps through academic instruction, physical fitness, and military leadership training. Students gain practical experience while pursuing their degrees and preparing for careers in naval and Marine Corps service.

KU Air Force and Space Force ROTC, known as the Flying Jayhawks, prepares students for leadership and commissioned service in the U.S. Air Force and Space Force. Cadets participate in aerospace studies, leadership laboratories, and physical training while completing their college degrees.

Chancellor John Fraser Distinguished Military Graduate Award
Established in 2013, this annual award recognizes one exceptional KU ROTC cadet or midshipman for outstanding academic achievement, leadership, and community service. Named in honor of KU's second chancellor and Civil War veteran, the award celebrates excellence across KU's three ROTC programs.
